I came to Saltford Bay for a fresh start. I didn’t expect it to come with a big, broody orc who thinks smiling is a crime and I’m a disaster waiting to happen.
He might be right. I might also want to kiss him. Both can be true.

Newly divorced and armed with nothing but grit, strong coffee and a Pinterest board full of impossible dreams, my plans to renovate a crumbling seaside lodge are jeopardized by the town’s grumpiest, greenest contractor.

Gerralt Banesman is big, broody, and allergic to conversation. I’m sunshine, sass, and a walking chaos magnet. Our first meeting ended with spilled wood stain, sharp words, and one very offended orc.

But when a shady rival threatens everything I’ve been working for, Gerralt steps in with calloused hands and a scowl that might be hiding a heart of gold. The more time we spend together, the more I start to suspect there’s something under that gruff exterior. Something warm, protective, maybe a little bit dangerous and one hundred percent sexy.

And the real problem? I’m starting to like it.

I’m a wedding planner. I coordinate chaos for a living. But nothing prepared me for Saltford Bay’s grumpy werewolf sheriff, especially not when he kissed me like a feral beast… and then asked me to be his fake mate.

Planning a dragon wedding is hard enough. Add a stolen tiara, a brewing scandal, and one scowling werewolf with eyes like wildfire and a permanent stick up his tail, and suddenly I’m wondering if I should’ve stayed in bed.

Sheriff Adrian Wolfsbane is stern, broody, and impossible to work with. He’s handling security for the dragon wedding of the century, so when the bride’s priceless tiara vanishes and things start catching fire, of course he takes charge of the investigation.

When the suspect list starts looking a little too close to home, he makes me an offer: pretend to be his mate, and he’ll give me full access to the case. The plan? Convince everyone we’re bonded, sniff out the thief, and avoid catching feelings.

Easy, right?

Except now I’m staying at his cabin, wearing his scent, and trying to ignore the way he looks at me like I already belong to him.

And if he keeps acting like I’m more than just his fake mate… I’m not sure I’ll want to keep pretending. It was supposed to be a temporary arrangement.

No touching.
No feelings.
Definitely no biting.

All I want is to save the library. But a greedy heiress and a grumpy dragon lawyer complicate everything. Especially when that dragon lawyer insists I'm his fated mate. Maybe this Halloween, I'm going to do both the tricking and the treating?

Harold Greaves promised ten years of funding to our little town library. I believed him right up until the will was read, and everything went to his scheming niece instead. Now I’ve got a week to prove the new will is a fake… or lose the library forever.

Enter Kraxon Ashbane: grumpy, gorgeous, and a dragon lawyer with something to prove. He’s the executor of Harold’s estate and the only person who seems to believe me. Sort of. When he’s not glaring over his glasses or scorching the room with his mood, he’s helping me dig through decades of dusty archives and dodging questions about why his skin heats up every time we touch.

We’re running out of time, and I’m running out of reasons to pretend I don’t feel the pull between us. But if we can’t expose the forgery before probate closes, the day after Halloween, I risk losing it all.

Including a Happily Ever After I didn't know I wanted up until now.

I’m a school nurse. I can handle anything. Then Saltford Bay got a new elf doctor. He’s cold, allergic to smiling, and thinks I’m a chaos magnet. Also… he’s so hot it’s unfair. And if he kisses me like that again, I migth forget how much I hate him.

Dr. Lorian Reizenhart is tall, cold, and terminally allergic to smiling. He’s all sharp cheekbones, glowing blue eyes, and a glare that could sterilize a hospital wing. He thinks I talk too much, smile too easily, and get in the way of his perfectly ordered world. I think he’s the most insufferable man I’ve ever met.

One more thing I hate about him: he’s stupidly hot. Unfortunately.

Our first meeting ended with a room full of crying third graders and a flying carrot. So I taped a glittery crayon drawing to his cold, sterile office wall. Just to be petty.

Now, a Pixie-Pox outbreak has forced us to work side-by-side, and the tension is unbearable. He hates my chaos. I hate his control. So why did he kiss me like I’m the last woman on Earth… and then run like it never happened?

Worse, why do I keep looking for more?

I was ready for magical mayhem, not a slow-burn war with the town’s grumpiest doctor. But the closer we get, the more I realize: behind his icy demeanor is something burning.

And I’m already melting.
